Full Time:  Hours are Wednesday/Thursday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Friday 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Nature of Work

This is a direct service position offered by Way Station, Inc. through its North Point Veterans Home Per Diem Program.  In the role of Residential Facilitator, staff will provide services to veterans in all phases of the North Point Veterans Home including some case management, urinalysis testing, assist purchasing food for residents, monitoring of cameras, inspection of rooms, supervise menu plans, and meet with resident council on regular house maintenance. The Residential Facilitator is expected, through training and experience, to exercise independent judgment with supervision of the Program Supervisor. 

Position Requirements:  Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Ability to work autonomously with demonstrated creativity, initiative and commitment
  • Ability to work with external agencies, such as community businesses, referral sources, social service agencies.
  • Knowledge of recovery based psychosocial rehabilitation and treatment based concepts. 
  • Knowledge of and experience with Evidenced Based Practice service models. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain empowering, trust relationships with clients, families and/or significant others. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. 
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. 
  • Skill in time management and organization of individual and team job activities.  
  • Skills in word processing and ability to learn computer skills.

 Position Requirements:  Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma (Prefer AA degree) in related field/or with at least two years of combined experience in residential services. 
  • Two years positively referenced relevant work experience. 
  • Valid full driver's license and safe driving record. Driver's license cannot be provisional status. 
  • Possession or use of a four passenger car to be used to transport clients and a copy of a valid certificate of automobile insurance.
